Sappho of Lesbos (c. 7th–6th century BCE) is the archetypal lyric poet of longing: intimate, incandescent, and famously hard to pin down. This presentation explores Sappho as an archetype through the asteroid Sappho—not as a “single meaning,” but as a living symbol that shows up where desire, aesthetic intelligence, creative voice, and charged connection want expression.
